What’s near Anse Lazio
Anse Georgette – another famous beach that can be visited from Anse Lazio. If you like hiking, it’s not raining and you have bottled water and time, you can walk to the left end of Anse Lazio and hike from there up the hills to Anse Georgette. I was told it might take around an hour or more. The path might not be well visible at times and it gets slippery, especially after rain, so please be careful. And definitely do not start the hike late afternoon.
Petite Anse Lazio – a small beach to the East of Anse Lazio. You can hike there within a few minutes from Anse Lazio, just go to the right end and up. It’s supposed to be beautiful and quiet, with just a few people. Unfortunately, I did not manage to visit because of heavy rain both times when I planned to go there.
My thoughts about Anse Lazio beach
- With sunshine, the sea was really beautiful to look at.
-
I saw some fish when swimming there even without having to snorkel.
-
Good for swimming even at low tide when the waves were not too big vs. it’s not possible to swim at low tide at many other beaches of Seychelles.
- Good for walking.
-
The music from the KokoLoko beach bar on the right side of the Anse Lazio beach was too loud for me destroying the whole peaceful atmosphere.
-
There were way too many people on Anse Lazio when it was hot and sunny (I was there in April). I’d prefer it more quiet.
-
The sea was full of boats – too many for my taste.
