Why Couples Are Tying the Knot At Sea
With so many choices to consider, when organising your big day, the options of planning can easily become overwhelming. Cruise weddings are becoming increasingly popular and it’s easy to see why. Read on to discover why more and more couples are choosing to tie the knot at sea.
What could be more romantic than saying “I do” as you gaze upon the ocean before you? Romance is the name of the game for cruise ship weddings, particularly for those who enjoy the backdrop of endless sunsets and the glistening waters of the ocean.
Value for Money
With more and more people choosing to tie the knot at sea, various cruise lines are now offering packages that have all-inclusive deals and great specials. When organising your wedding on-board a luxurious cruise liner, you’ll often have your own event planner to cater for your every need. Gone are the days of sorting through various catering companies and bands for your wedding, with cruise companies now supplying everything a bride and groom could ever imagine.
While all weddings are generally luxurious, there is nothing more lavish than the estate ballrooms and world class accommodation on board some of the most lavish cruise liners in the world. Leaders in the travel industry, such as MSC Preziosa, pride themselves on offering newlyweds all of the finer things in life, right down to luxurious linens and resort style suites.
Any bride will tell you that your wedding day just simply flies by and the celebrations are over before you know it. When choosing to get married on a cruise, you are extending your celebrations with your loved ones, for more than just a single day. Take a week long cruise and indulge yourself in your newly formed bond of love.
Choose your Destination
Choose one destination or choose several – with cruise weddings, brides and grooms have the luxury of visiting a number of different ports along their travels, from tropical island paradises to the charming countryside of Europe and everywhere in between.
As with most holiday packages, newlyweds will have the option of upgrading their cruise holiday, to receive the full VIP treatment, whilst in MSC spa. Upgrading your holiday means no more waiting in line to check in, along with access to private and intimate dining areas, with a glass of bubbly on arrival, to top off the entire experience.
A Holiday for Everyone
While this may be your special day, you will want to share your love and celebrations with everyone attending your wedding. By choosing a cruise wedding, your guests will be able to relax and have their own mini getaway too!
Whether you choose a short break cruise, simply to tie the knot at sea, or endeavour on a week long journey of celebrations, the reasons to get married on board a luxurious cruise liner are virtually endless.

I can imagine! I agree with this, my wedding (if any one day) will be or somewhere at the beach or on a cruise too 😀

I went to a wedding in Jamaica last year and it was the best wedding I have ever been too. It was so much fun being with friends and family on a vacation that included a wedding. The resort was great and it was so relaxing. There was not the usual running around that goes along with a regular wedding.

That’s what I think, Jess! I would love to have my wedding and then honeymoon straight away on the cruise around the world 😀
This is a great idea! I’ve thought of the destination wedding before, but never considered a cruise..definitely a fun way to spend a few days with your favorite people!
