With a colourful giraffe in Donovaly
Back in August 2012, I visited the Low Tatras mountains in Slovakia for a few days with my family. We spent a day around famous ski centre Donovaly where is worth visiting even in summer months. Apart from different hiking treks around and a lot of adventure for people of all ages, we also found this beautiful colourful giraffe. I couldn’t let it be like that and had some fun with my little brother. I really enjoy animals, even animal statues!

I thought it was real when I saw it on the front page and immediately clicked, thinking, “OHMYGOD WHAT KIND OF MAGICAL CANDYLAND HAS THIS SPLENDIFEROUSLY COLOURED GIRAFFE?!”
Then I saw that the post was tagged as Slovakia, it was a statue, and all my dreams came crushing down.
I had fun with a giraffe statue here in a zoo in Korea, but it was just the boring, regular coloured kind of giraffe, not this Willy Wonka-esque creation.

Nice giraffe, just not keen on the colours. Somehow blue isn’t quite right for me.
